Basically a crossover. 1) I really liked Tureg, but at the end of 2017 the model was already obsolete and its successor was about to come out. 2) BMW X 5 – no one cares, but for me the car starts from the driver’s seat, steering wheel, instrument panel. In my case, the dashboard, a la 90, repulsed any desire to buy this car. My friend, the owner of the X5, agrees with me))) 3) Audi Q5 / Q7- have become very familiar, plus the last one is very overall. 4) The LR line after the test left mixed impressions. 5) Range Rover Velar had not yet been released. 6) Mercedes is not mine at all, I didn’t even visit dealers. 7) The Range Rover Sport was huge and over budget. 8) Crossovers of other brands did not even consider. Actually, I liked the Jaguar from the very beginning, even when its design was announced and its photographs appeared, so I didn’t cheer up the alternative. But the 22-inch profile is rather low, and the 21-inch turned out to be the golden mean. The car turned out to be moderately tough and moderately comfortable. I visited MIAS specifically for the Jaguar I-pace. I have been waiting for a crossover from Jaguar for a long time, and as soon as they started taking orders, I immediately decided to buy it. Since we have nowhere to drive, I took the version with the base diesel. At first there were some fears that the motor would be weak. But in practice, the dynamics turned out to be even better than I expected. The diesel pulls well from the very bottom, its maximum torque is almost the same as that of a gasoline 3-liter turbo engine, in addition, the car itself is light, since it has an aluminum body. The diesel is well matched to the 8-speed automatic transmission. Only at the start of the “automatic” is a little thoughtful, but the switching occurs smoothly. Overtaking is very easy to do, just press the accelerator pedal a little and the automatic transmission immediately switches to one or two gears down. The engine is very economical, even with active driving, it consumes no more than 10 liters per 100 km, and if you do not rush, you can keep within 8 liters. In general, on the move, the Jaguar F-Pace is more like a sports wagon than a crossover. In corners, it almost does not roll, the brakes are tenacious. Ride is very good, noise isolation is effective. The stabilization system is interestingly tuned, it makes it possible to play a little trick, it allows for slight wheel slip and a slight skid. The Jaguar F-Pace has a wide range of adjustable front seats, which allows you to choose from a low sporty fit to a high off-road one. All the pleasure of buying was gone after 5 months. Began to regularly (once a month) visit the service station Independence. I heard a lot of different things about the build quality of this brand, but I could not imagine that I would have to go to the service once a month. By the way, the car is already in the service. This is my May visit. The problem is the same: failure of the ABS, ASPC, stabilization systems, EBD malfunction. Information pops up on the display in motion. I will not describe the advantages, they all mean nothing if the brake system is faulty in the car. I regret buying and do not recommend. Moreover, I do not advise buying in Nezavisimosti.
